Dean of Research
Stanford University
Research just got a little easier
Stanford University is one of the leading research institutions in higher education, and our client, the Stanford Office of the Vice Provost and Dean of Research oversees over 18 different research organizations at the university. The research conducted by Stanford University staff is always on the cutting edge, and our client needed a way to simplify the process for funding research projects.
Funding a research project involves many steps, like searching for funding opportunities, finding the right opportunity for your project, and then applying for funding. Following the process carefully step-by-step is the only way to ensure success, and the online portal we built for the Stanford Dean of Research is the definitive place for faculty to learn everything they need to get their research under way and change the world.
What they needed
- One comprehensive place for internal and external funding listings
- Integration with API feeds from grants.gov
- Comprehensive faculty and staff directory
- A searchable document repository
- Built-in content expiry push notifications
Only one place to bookmark
There are a large number of sites that list funding opportunities for research, and keeping track of them all can make it hard to stay on-top of the latest grants. We built a comprehensive, all-in-one tool that searches both internal and external federal funding opportunities, integrating with API feeds from grants.gov. Searching for the right funding opportunity is now much easier with this one, simple search tool.
Policy documentation made easy
We completely digitized our client’s policy handbook, and made it easy for site visitors to browse policy documents online to familiarize themselves with the process of applying for funding. This policy repository is a fully self-contained and comprehensive resource that not only indexes policies so they are easy to find, but it is also fully searchable.
Keeping your content fresh
Keeping policy documents up-to-date was a pain point for our client, so we built a notification system that alerts content owners when their documents may be out of date or need to be reviewed. This approach ensures content is reviewed on a regular basis and remains relevant to users.
