Chris Mewppel

Chris lives and breathes all things frontend. Particularly interested in performance, Chris loves making sites fast, buttery smooth to the touch, and functional across many devices.

Active in many open source communities, Chris presents around the world on frontend performance, CSS, and responsive web development. His proudest achievements include an intro to CSS 3D Transforms, the Modernizr module for Drupal, and his work on the D8 Mobile Initiative. He is involved with the local tech community in Freiburg, organizing the Freiburg Webperf meetup.

A native Texan, Chris recently transplanted to the beautiful town of Freiburg im Breisgau, Deutschland to live with his wonderful girlfriend Karin.
